Napoleonic Wars Communication Game


This game for groups of 7 players is about the difficulties of communicating information on the battlefield. It can be used to better understand the Siborne Model held at the National Army Museum. 

Saving Samuel GodleyFour styles of game-play are offered, each inviting participants to discuss things that might hinder communication of information. The activity will encourage students to

  • Understand the physical conditions at the Battle and the challenges they presented in a fun way
  • Appreciate how effective Wellington was as a commander
  • Discuss the consequences of failure, e.g. the human cost
