Lee Remick lived at 8 Hamilton Terrace with her husband Kip Gowans. She was an American actress, born in 1935,  who appeared in “Days of Wine and Roses” in 1962. She was married twice, firstly in 1957 to the film producer  Bill Colleran,  with whom she had a daughter, Kate and a son Matthew.  They divorced in 1968.  In 1970  she married Kip Gowans, a British film producer, and starred in four telefilms he produced, “ The Women’s Room “(1980), “The Letter” (1982),  “Rearview Mirror” (1984), and “Of Pure Blood” (1984).

In 1991 she died, of kidney cancer,  at the age of 55. She had two children with Kip.

While they were living in Hamilton Terrace they made friends with Amy and Bruton  Coxe who lived across the road at 3 Hamilton Terrace, sharing baby sitters and watering each other’s plants in their absence.
