which is now 2a Nugent Terrace, was the studio house in the garden of the Manor House, 6 Abercorn Place  and was occupied by the artist Sigismund Goetze.

6d Abercorn Place

The German film actress Ingeborg von Kusserow ( 1919-2014) lived here after WW2.


28 Abercorn Place

was the home of John  O’Connor  (1830-1889), an Irish painter. His initials are over the front door. It is now part of the Abercorn School.

30 Abercorn Place

Sydney Starr ( 1857-1923 ) an Impressionist painter, was living here in 1884. It is also now part of Abercorn School.

38 Abercorn Place

The painter Charles W. Wyllie (1853-1923) lived here. The house was also occupied by Hugh Rivière, James Whittent Smith and James William  Garrett Smith.

Abercorn Place

Charlotte Halliday, à painter specialising in watercolour and in painting architectural subjects, has lived in Abercorn Place for many years.
