Playground in 1951. The girl in the coat is now Mrs Chapman and she is with her friend Glenda. They lived in Winchelsea House, on the corner of Lisson Grove and St John's Wood Road.

  • I remember spending lots of time in the ‘burial ground’ when I was young in the 1960’s. I remember a really lovely park keeper who kept everything in good order. I remember Goldie the Eagle escaping from London zoo and landing in the grounds. D

  • This was always known as simply  “the burial” there was a little hut where the park keeper stood and at tree that looked like a large teepee.
